Friendly Fires [Dj Set]

Friendly Fires Formed by three childhood friends, Friendly Fires were born from the desire to unite the inspirations of indie rock and shoegaze to the drive of the best electronic music. You can say the goal has been accomplished with distinction. Before Friendly Fires, as a teenager, Ed Macfarlane, Edd Gibson and Jack Savidge had already been at a post-hardcore band, First Day Back. As they went into college, their interest in electronic music grew and the trio went looking for other sonorities and that's how Friendly Fires was born, influenced by names like Prince or Carl Craig. They released their first EP in 2006, "Photobooth", and the second in 2007, "Cross the Line". Their popularity grew, the invitations also increased and it wasn't long before they signed for XL Recordings. Singles like "Skeleton Boy" and "Jump in the Pool" took the band to another level, reaching an increasingly heterogeneous audience. After the first album, the self-titled released in 2008 and nominated for a Mercury Prize, the band continued to improve their language on the following album. "Pala" was relesaed in 2011 and featured Paul Epworth and Chris Zane, who contributed to taking Friendly Fires to the next level. After a few years dedicated to other projects, they returned in 2018 with the release of the singles "Love Like Waves" and "Heaven Let Me In", beautiful examples of a contagious tropical pop. The third album, "Inflorescent", arrived this year and it proves the band's good shape. Masters of combining indie, dream pop and dance music, Friendly Fires come to Super Bock in Stock, with an eclectic and absolutely unmissable DJ Set.
