Marinho was born in Lisbon and grew up in front of the television. She had early exposure to American cartoons and mid-1990s films, which resulted in a gradual intimacy with Holywood's perspective on love, relationships and human nature in general. Now, as a young adult, she tries to understand what lies between the over-romanticized expectations and real life outside sitcoms. Resolutions come in the form of alternative folk-rock songs that she wrote and collected over the years, building her first album. In 2019, she released "Freckles" in anticipation of her debut album "~" (read till or tilde in english), which is built on the simplicity of the American folk music roots and inspired by rich cinematic textures. "Ghost Notes" and "Window Pain" are two other singles by Marinho to watch our for.
